Polar days are rightfully one of the main attractions in the Murmansk region. This is the northern region and the period of white nights is much longer than in the same St. Petersburg, and at night it is much brighter here than in the northern capital. In the Arctic, they begin in early May and end only by mid-August, and all summer is light here at night and in the afternoon. During the white nights beyond the Arctic Circle, it is really light, especially in the middle of June during the summer solstice. At night it is as bright as during the day, and the sun balances on the horizon, not going beyond its line at all.
Meeting at 9 am in the village of Lovozero. Safety briefing. Departure by boat to the naturistic base "Bear in the North". Welcome breakfast in a real chum near the open acquaintance with the surroundings of the base. Visit by boat to the state complex nature reserve "Seyyavvr" and the sacred lake of the Sami - Seidozero. This place is known far beyond the Kola Peninsula. A small reservoir is sandwiched among the mountains of the Lovozero Tundra, where on one of the steep cliffs you can see the silhouette of a man created by nature and the play of light and shadow. This very image, about 70 meters high, is considered by the Sami to be a deity called "Kuiva". Hot tea and sandwiches in the forest. Late return to base. Dinner. On request, a visit to the bathhouse for an additional fee.
After breakfast, take a boat trip to the Magic Island. The guide will tell you the stories of the imifs surrounding this island. Return to base. Lunch in the tent. Deer hike. Acquaintance with the sales and work of the northern peoples, feeding the deer, photographing and filming with the animals. Return to the base. Free time. Dinner. On request, a visit to the bathhouse for an additional fee.
Breakfast in the tent. Boat trip to the mountain river. A river with crystal clear water, where you can see a coin at a depth of 15 meters. Even in hot summers, the water temperature is very cold. The river is fed from glaciers located in the mountain gorges. Return to base for lunch. Rest, collection of things. Dinner. Departure to the village of Lovozero.
